Ned Harris is back and is now being treated in a mental hospital where he meets and befriends a young patient Jess who reminds him of his late daughter. Their friendship blossoms but Jess is really in hiding in witness protection after giving evidence against Chinese Drug Lord Sakoto. Finally her cover is blown and Sakoto's armed men storm the Hospital killing indiscriminately to find her. Ned protects her killing most of the men and they escape but Ned soon realises the only way she'll be truly free is to take on Sakoto and the Triads while also being hunted by the Police.

Ned Harris is a fifty-something everyman. Doting father. Loyal colleague. Compassionate landlord. Serial killer. Beneath the seemingly normal surface resides a web of warped sensibilities, spontaneous brutality and cold-blooded murder. A psychiatrist would probably blame Ned's peculiar childhood, but what's Paul's excuse? Paul James is Ned's long-standing tenant - callous and calculating, with voyeuristic tendencies and a bizarre sense of humour. So when Kate and Jason, a young couple with problems of their own, move into Ned's building, they prove to be the catalyst for a shocking turn of events. It's not long before Ned's rapidly unravelling life spirals completely out of control, as we race towards a deadly conclusion. The story culminates in a final showdown between Ned and Paul, where they are forced to confront their demons and reveal their darkest secret. Dark Rage is a twisted journey into a deeply disturbed mind. Not for the faint-hearted!
Dark Rage was a British Film distributed through Cinema Epoch via ITN Distribution in 2009 to a mainly American audience.
The film was sinister in tone from direction to music score. Although not originally geared to be a horror film more a dark thriller it was marketed to horror audiences in the U.S. where it's been likened to a British version of Silence of the Lambs and American Psycho.
Dark Rage 2 will be a high octane Action / Horror Movie. In keeping with an independent spirit, the film will show highly intense dramatic characterizations from its leads actors, exploring the disturbing nature of their worlds, yet still being highly commercial with high production values brought about through gun battles, car chases and powerful fight scenes. All visually driven and shot in pin sharp super high definition 4K.
Dark Rage 2 will build on the original film and fan base many of which found the ageing antihero Ned and his hard justice very appealing. This time round the stakes couldn’t be higher when he's forced to save a young woman who reminds him of his beloved daughter, from a sickeningly cruel gang. In doing so his Rage is focused to protect and kill whereas in the original film his Rage was indiscriminate on those who crossed him.
The original film Dark Rage starred Christopher Dunne (28 Days Later / Irish Jam) playing the lead role of Ned Harris, a man pushed around by society until he finally cracks and goes on a killing spree. In Dark Rage 2 Ned now incarcerated in a mental hospital meets a beautiful young patient Jess who is not all she seems. Jess is in hiding from a dangerous Chinese drugs gang who finally track her down to the hospital. After laying siege and killing a number of patients and staff, Ned is forced into protecting her by taking on the gang and its evil master Sakoto.
